My artist journey
Growing up with a fascination about my Scottish and Irish heritage, it was easy to become entranced by the rich traditions of Celtic culture. I developed a deep appreciation for intricate patterns and storytelling through visuals. My approach combines historical influences with personal creativity to craft detailed ink line drawings inspired by medieval manuscripts, their techniques and ancient symbols.
About my ink art
Drawing inspiration from Celtic and medieval motifs
My ink line and pattern drawings are grown through ancient Celtic motifs and the illuminated manuscripts of medieval Europe. Each piece is crafted with attention to pattern detail aiming to evoke the mystical qualities of these eras. I draw on plant and animal forms as well as abstraction to resolve unique compositions.
Through a meticulous process of hand-drawing with traditional ink, I transform these motifs into contemporary original works and limited edition prints that celebrate cultural heritage and artistic mastery.
